Hefest welding leather gloves are intended for welders, protecting against sparks during grinding and welding, as well as for others in industry and construction where protection from sparks and elevated temperatures is needed.
They have a Type A welding certificate and standards: EN ISO 388, providing protection against mechanical abrasion, blade cuts, tearing, puncturing, and impacts; EN ISO 407, protecting the hand or parts of the hand from heat or fire in one or more forms: flame, contact heat, convective heat, radiant heat, small or large amounts of molten metal; and EN 12477, meaning they protect the hand from excessive heat and ultraviolet and infrared radiation.
Made from cowhide leather, stitched with special Kevlar thread, they are durable and resistant to wear. The palm and thumb area have additional reinforcements for extra protection, lined with cotton felt that allows the skin to breathe and reduces palm perspiration.
